 Palmquist Elementary School is part of Oceanside Unified K-12 School District located in north San Diego County. We are one of 23 schools and offer a rigorous academic program to 632 students.

Our district’s vision is that all students will graduate college and career ready, prepared to be responsible global citizens and strong leaders. Students are challenged and rewarded every day with highly trained staff that will ensure high levels of learning.

Palmquist is a California Distinguished School and participates in “Project Lead the Way.”  In addition to the standard core curriculum: reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, enrichment activities are also available such as music, Physical Education and art. To enlarge the students’ learning environments, every child has access to one-to-one devices using either Chromebooks and IPads to support individual learning. Students learn through using technology, hands on classroom activities, collaboration, inquiry, and project-based learning with an emphasis on STEM education. Children become excited while attending  Palmquist Elementary School because of the caring and supportive teachers and staff who provide many adventures and experiences.
